Voice of Chatty Cathy

Maureen McCormick did the voice on Mattel's 1970 remake issue of Chatty Cathy. She can also be seen in a black and white TV commerical for the original Chattys along with her "Brady Bunch" sister; Eve Plumb. The original voice; circa 1959, is known to be that of June Foray, who also did the voice of Rocket J. Squirrel in the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons.

How many hair colors did Chatty Cathy have?

The 1960's Chatty Cathy's had three hair colors: Blonde, brunette and redhead!

The 1960's Chatty Cathy's had two Eye colors: Blue and brown. Blue is the most common.

The 1960's Chatty Cathy's had three box styles: pink cartoon box, aqua open window box and 2 picture boxes with 2 different photographs of Chatty Cathy.

What are the hardest to find Chatty Cathys?

The African American versions. They were made in 2 hair styles: page boy and longer pig tails. The pig tailed version of the African American Chatty Cathy is the hardest to find of all Chattys.

What is the most commonly seen Chatty Cathy?

The first versions which had blonde hair, blue eyes, a soft face and a cloth covered speaker.
