Report Type

You select the report type you want to create.

The options are:
  Summary Report Shows the count of recordings and percent of the total count, within your selection criteria, for the first sort field specified.
  Detail Report Prints one line per recording. The detail report level breaks on the first sort field specified. The report shows user name, alert name, date, time, location, size in K bytes (a K byte is 1024 bytes) and count.

Your selection is displayed in the "Report Type" box.

You can:
  Select Yes to create the report.
  Select No to go back to the report type prompt (the previous prompt).
  Select Exit to abandon report creation and return to the Reports menu.

Note
If you wish to go back and change some information, select NO to go back to the previous prompt, or press the \ (backslash) key until you back up to the item you want to change.

Report Creation

If you elect to create the report, the report is generated and you are asked for an output option (see Section 6.6.2, Report Output Options). After the report has been output, you are returned to the Reports menu.

If no recordings are found for the report criteria, the message:

No recorded sessions for given criteria

is displayed, and you are asked for other recording report criteria.

10.4 Browser Accesses Report

The Browser Accesses menu option creates the Browser Accesses Report. This is a report of browser activity since a user-specified date.

Access Date

After you select the Browser Accesses menu option, the following screen is displayed and you are asked for an access date.

This procedure looks for URLs that browsers have accessed on and since the date you specify. The default access date is today's date.

Press [Return] to accept the default date of today.

If you want to use a different date, enter the date in MMDDYYYY format.

Listing URLs

To get a list of the URLs accessed by a browser, select a browser from the menu.

If, for example, the browser "TEET.CTS.COM" is selected from the menu of browsers, a list of the URL's the browser accessed on and since the access date is displayed.

The displayed information includes:
  URL the URL
  Count number of times the URL was accessed since the specified access date
  Last Access date and time of the last access

At this point, you can:

  1. create a report of the displayed information.
  2. select a URL from the displayed list of URLs and get a report of other browsers who have accessed the URL.

Report Option

Select Report to create a report of the displayed browser/URL information. The report is generated and you are asked for an output option (see Section 6.6.2, Report Output Options).

After the report is created, the list of URLs is again displayed.

URLs and Other Browsers

When the list of URLs is displayed, you can select different URLs and get a list of browsers who have accessed the URL since the access date. For example, if the URL:

After the report is created, the list of URLs is again displayed.

You can create reports of other URL activities or back up to the browser menu and select other browsers to report on.

To exit this report procedure, back up to the browser prompt and enter "EXIT". You will be returned to the Reports menu.

10.5 URL Accesses Report

The URL Accesses menu option creates the URL Accesses Report. This is a report of browsers who have accessed a specific URL since a given date.

The report is going to show the browsers who have accessed a specific URL.

Enter the URL that you want to list the browsers for. You do not need to enter the "http://" portion of the URL.

If you do not know the full text of the URL, you can enter the first part of the URL. If there are multiple URLs that start with the characters you enter, a menu of the URLs is displayed. You can then select one of the URLs on the menu. For example, if: 


        jr.ttinet.com/tti

is entered, you might see the following menu of URLs:

If there are more URLs than can be shown on one screen, you can select "Next..." to see the next screen of URLs. Select "Previous..." to back up to a previous screen. ". . ." at the bottom of the menu, means there are more menu items to be displayed on this screen.

Entering URLs...
When you enter a URL, this part of the text "HTTP://JR.TTINET.COM/" can be entered in either upper or lowercase. The rest of the text must be entered in whatever case the file has been set up as. Also, uppercase URLs are listed before lowercase URLs when a URL menu is displayed --- see above example.

Listing Browsers

To get a list of the browsers who have accessed a specific URL, select that URL from the menu. If, for example, the URL: 


        http://JR.TTINET.COM/tti/nsa_www.html

is selected from the above menu of URLs, a list of the browsers who have accessed this URL is displayed.
