The Software Upgrade menu option is used when you want to upgrade the INTOUCH INSA box with a new version of the INTOUCH INSA software. This procedure performs the software upgrade installation.
When you select Software Upgrade from the Advanced menu, the following screen is displayed:
INTOUCH INSA INTOUCH INSA Software Upgrade 23-Jan-1997 This procedure will upgrade your INTOUCH INSA software to a new version. This procedure will require that INTOUCH INSA be shut down for approximately 10 minutes. The system will be shut down and automatically reboot after the upgrade procedure is complete. If you select No, the software upgrade is NOT done and you are returned to the Advanced menu.
If you select Yes, the INTOUCH INSA software upgrade procedure starts.
Before you run this procedure, be sure to install the upgrade disk in your removable disk drive. See Section 2.1, Connecting the External Disk Drive, for information on connecting the external disk drive which is used for INSA software upgrades. |
The following steps are performed during the software upgrade:
After the software upgrade procedure is completed, the INSA machine asks for the Username and Password. You need to log on to the INSA machine to start up INTOUCH INSA and the INSA Manager. You will see the new INTOUCH INSA version number displayed in the main menu heading.
