"What is the use of living, if it be not to make this world a better place for those who live in it, after we are gone." - Winston Churchill
We Can Make the World a Whole Lot Brighter
Birds flying high, in search of a clear blue skyWhile their choppin' down the trees, below them Come take a stand, and help us save the landLet's go out and try to make, it betterAnd maybe... RefrainWe can make the world a whole lot brighterWe can make the load a little lighterEverybody has to try togetherDon't you know it's now or never Meadows once green, a few and far betweenAnd the rivers might run brown, tomorrow God made the land, for each and every manSo we must do all we can, to save itAnd maybe... (Refrain 2x)

I've been picking up litter and such on the ground so the grass can grow. I've also had people to stop pulling bark off the trees.I know it's not much but it helps.

When we are at a fast-food resturant, there are always birds surrounding the car. I always give them lots of my food because they are hungary and there's not much food around. Not many people pay any attention to the birds.

Every year on the first weekend of June, my wife Laura and I participate in the annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon, which raises money for the Children's Hospitals around the country, with the money from each local telethon going directly to that city's hospital. We give our time, usually 4-6 hours of the weekend, answering phones to take pledges. It's a lot of fun, and also a way for Laura to give back, since she was helpedas a child by Children's Hospital.

I've decided to smile and wave to people I see when I'm in the car. Some may wave back, others look but don't wave, then there are some who don't see you. But if everyone smiled and waved every time they saw someone, the world would be a much happier place. Make someone's day by putting a smile on your face and a small wave of your hand. It's a very little task that can do so much.

A Special Poem by Lauren Smile-don't frown laugh-don't cry sing-don't groan be possitive-not negative hug-don't push dance-don't sit give-don't take listen-don't ignore exercise-don't be a couch potato drink water-don't drink beer love-don't hate be careful-not careless think of others-not just yourself If everyone in this world can do these things, the world would shine with happiness! If one person in the world does not do these things, the world will not be complete.

Hi, my name is T. J. Radwell, III, and I wanted to tell you how and why I try to make the world brighter, online and off. My life has NOT been "The Brady Bunch." When I was born, I was given two weeks to live due to a bad heart, bad lungs and a Birth Defect called Spina Bifida, a disease in which the back bone is not formed properly while the baby is growing in the womb One or more of the vertebra doesn't form the way they are supposed to. I have club feet, a curved back, and only four fingers on each hand. To compound that, my father was an abusive alcoholic and is now divorced from my mother. I cannot work due to doctor's orders, and am on oxygen at night. Nevertheless, the fact that I am still around with all these problems 33 years later is nothing short of a miracle, as I never had any operations to correct the bad heart or lungs. I figure God has kept me here for a reason, and I'm going to do whatever he wants me to do. I do volunteer work at a nonprofit Christian organization called the Urban Family Council, (http://www.urbanfamily.org/) where I do clerical work. (Yes, I have eight fingers and I'm a clerk. Tell me God doesn't have a sense of humor!) I also run their Disability Network. We recently went to the CBS affiliate in Philadelphia to try to get them to stop airing the "60 Minutes" episode where Dr. Jack Kevorkian killed a man disabled with Lou Gehrig's disease. They aired the episode, but we got a lot of good publicity in the Philadelphia newspapers! While the disabilities limit me physically, when I'm online I can go anywhere with just the click of a mouse, and I can help people just by doing a Net Search. Last year I helped out a friend in Colorado promote her website for the Columbine High students that were killed in Littleton, CO. The address for the website is: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/1286/ColumbineHigh.html Every signature in the guest book is going to be given to the people of Littleton. I forwarded it to everyone I knew (Including the McCormick's) and forwarded it to CO media websites. She was interviewed and it was picked up by CNN. Now I'm trying to help out a singer promote her CD...Maureen McCormick. No, I don't know her. I'm doing this all on my own. I've been E-mailing Maureen McCormick and her family ever since I found her official website a couple years ago. (That was a dream come true after a 30 year crush!) I've developed a pen-pal like relationship with her mother, Irene. I've been E-mailing stuff pertaining to her daughter, and the last thing I sent them was an article with the fact that the album Maureen did with Chris Knight (Peter) is now worth $150.00. Irene answered, "Gee I wish we had more than one of those Chris and Maureen albums. Perhaps Maureen's newer album will become a collectible too, especially since it is not being sold in the stores. Wish we could get that word out." Well, that's what I want to do! I've been posting to every Brady Bunch, country music and Autograph collecting website on the Net about it. Of course, I'm also helping the rest of them: The autograph collectors because they get 2 autographs with the CD, the Brady Bunch fans, because they can see and hear what Maureen is doing now, and the country music fans, because they hear a great country singer who they wouldn't think of! So, since I've been given this lifetime instead of the 2 weeks I was only supposed to have, I'm going to try to help as many people as I can, and make my life count for something.
