3.2.3 Reset Statistics

The Reset Statistics option will cause all historical statistics to be reset to zero and statistics counts will start over.

Only System Administrators have the option to reset statistics.

**Caution**

When the Reset Statistics button is selected, all statistics to date will be zeroed. Historical statistics will not be retrievable. All counts and percentages will begin accumulating again from the time of the reset.

The date and time of the last statistics reset are displayed above the Refresh Quick Stats button.

3.2.4 Reset Spammer List

The Reset Spammer List option causes all stored spammer entries to be deleted and the list reset to zero.

Only System Administrators have the option to reset the list of known spammers.

**Caution**

When the Reset Spammer List button is selected, all spammer entries stored in PostalCare to date will be deleted. These entries will not be retrievable. Spammer entries will begin accumulating again from the time of the reset.

3.2.5 PostalCare Uptime

PostalCare Uptime displays the date and time, and the time elapsed since the PostalCare Reciever program was last restarted.

3.2.6 Alerts

Alerts displays a list of PostalCare alerts notifying System Administrators of potential system or security problems.

Alerts are displayed in order from the newest to the oldest alert received.

An alert displays the following information:

The entire alert is a clickable link which will open a pop-up window containing the details on the alert. For example, the details displayed for a Zombie Spammer Threshold alert are:

Alert Detail Description
Alert message the name of the alert message
Date and Time the date and time that this alert was issued
Time Period the time period that the Zombie Spammer Threshold was reached to trigger this alert
Zombie Spammer Threshold Limit Exceeded the numeric limit set in Administrative General Settings to trigger an alert
IP Address of SMTP Server the IP address of the SMTP server the outgoing emails were going through
Message Details the To and From email addresses on the message that triggered the alert, along with the subject line in the message

If there are no alerts the word None will be displayed.

To delete a single alert, click on the Delete icon and confirm your request to delete the alert.

To delete all alerts, click on the Delete All Alerts button at the bottom of the table. You will be warned that this action cannot be undone and prompted to confirm the permanent removal of all alerts.

3.2.7 PostalCare Version

PostalCare Version displays the version number of PostalCare currently installed. It also displays the release date of the installed version. For example:

Click on the Check For Updates button to see if there is an updated version of PostalCare available for download.

3.2.8 Check for Updates

Check for Updates is the easiest way to see if a new version of PostalCare is available.

When the Check for Updates button is selected, the PostalCare Update window will open. You will be informed if either a new updated version is available to download, or that the current one installed is the latest one available. New features, feature enhancements and bug fixes will be displayed for the current or new version and build of PostalCare.

When a new version of PostalCare is available, you can download it by clicking on the Get Latest button inside the PostalCare Update window.

3.2.9 License Information

The License Information field contains a summary of the PostalCare License details for this organization.

3.2.10 License Key

The License Key field contains the license key information required to run PostalCare.

When you purchase a PostalCare License, you will receive your license key via email. We recommend that you copy and paste the license key information into the License Key field to avoid any typos that will prevent the license from working.

When you renew your PostalCare License, delete the old license key information, then copy and paste the new information into the License Key field. Then click on the Update License Key button to save the new license key information.

Note

If the license key is altered, PostalCare will no longer work.


Chapter 4
PostalCare Statistics

4.1 Statistics Overview

This chapter discusses the information and options displayed in the Statistics window. The Statistics window displays all of the email statistics gathered by PostalCare since the PostalCare Receiver program was last started (or when the statistics were last reset).

4.1.1 Statistics Summary Headings

The heading of each statistics summary table displays:

At the top and bottom of the window, a Create Full Report button is displayed. The Create Full Report button allows you to create a single printable .RTF file containing all three statistic summary reports.

4.1.2 Statistics Time Frames

The time frames for each statistic gathered is as follows:

This Hour:

This Hour displays the latest statistics gathered for the current hour. For example:


  If the current time is 12:15 PM, This Hour 
  displays the statistics for: 
  
    12:00 - 12:15 PM 

Today

Today displays the total statistics for the current day (from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM). For example:


  If the current time is 2:15 PM, Today displays the statistics for: 
  
    12:00 AM - 2:15 PM of the current date 

This Week

This Week displays the total statistics for the current week (Sunday 12:00 AM through Saturday 11:59 PM). For example:


  If it is currently 12:15 PM on Wednesday, This Week displays 
  the statistics from: 
  
    12:00 AM Sunday - 12:15 PM Wednesday 

This Month

This Month displays the total statistics for the current calendar month. For example:


  If it is currently 12:15 PM on the 14th day of the month, This Month 
  displays the statistics from: 
  
    12:00 AM of the 1st of the month to 12:15 PM on the 14th 

Last Hour

Last Hour displays the total statistics for the previous hour. For example:


  If the current time is 12:15 PM, Last Hour
  displays the statistics for: 
  
    11:00 - 11:59 PM 

Yesterday

Yesterday displays the total statistics for the previous day. For example:


  If the current time is 12:15 PM on the 4th day of the month, 
  Yesterday displays the statistics for: 
  
    12:00 AM - 11:59 PM of the 3rd day of the month
